Glencoe resident Ken Kantack and his children Connor, 11, and Mackenzie, 9, had to settle for a cool drink from a water fountain near the Flandrau State Park swimming pond Friday afternoon. While the rest of the park has reopened after the state government shutdown, the pond remains closed until at least Aug. 1.
