Pat ChristmanMankato Kasota Stone's Brett Skilbred points out an area of the quarry along Third Avenue where the company planned to mine sand. The company's owners have been moving through a protracted and sometimes contentious approval process for its new Jordan Sands business that will mine silica sand from quarries in Mankato and neighboring Lime Township.
