Amina Salim, right, and Cmdr. Amy Vokal of the Mankato Department of Public Safety have developed a close relationship through the Tapestry Project, a collaborative effort between the Minnesota Council of Churches, the city of Mankato and Lloyd Management. The program helped Mankato earn a community policing award from the International Association of Chiefs of Police and Cisco.
