It's just a fantasy: A league of our own

My series of fantasy posts faded in and out, in large part because I had difficulty in coming up with more universal things to say about center, right, and the bullpen — and because, for the league I'm in, I don't need to rank left-handed starters, because I have two guys — Francisco Liriano and Jon Lester — who I'm freezing. That uses up my LHS slots, and it doesn't matter if I put Jamie Moyer ahead of Paul Maholm or vice versa.

But I thought I'd propose to my "vast" readership a Stats Fantasy Baseball league of our own.

We would need 12 players — 11 plus me. The cost per franchise is just under $20, payable to STATS Inc. — I think it's $19.95 — and that covers all transactions.

For details on the rules, see www.stats.com and follow the links.

I think i said this a while back, but I regard this as the best, most realistic fantasy game available.

If you're interested in this idea, click on the link below and e-mail me soon. If we have enough interest, I'll organize it, and periodically bore the rest of the readership with updates.

And if there isn't, I'll not mention it again.
