---- — ST. PETER --The same Fargo-born, Minnesota-residing musician who has played in rock arenas all over the country as the guitarist for Kid Rock will be headlining the fifth annual Ambassadors’ Blues Festival in St. Peter on June 8.
In addition to playing with Kid Rock, Shannon Curfman has performed with a host of other rock legends and was a guest on “The Tonight Show” with Jay Leno, the “Late Show” with David Letterman, and others.
Curfman will anchor the live music lineup at 8:30 p.m. She will be preceded by Blue Vipers (noon), Annie Mack (2:30 p.m.), Blue Max (4:30 p.m.) and Swamp Kings (6:30 p.m.).
Festival favorite Blue Max will become the first band to perform twice at the event.
New to the event this year is a bocce ball tournament. Exhibitors can also sign up to display in Minnesota Square Park for a small fee.
Singer/songwriter/guitarist Curfman gained national prominence in 1999 at the age of 14 with her album “Loud Guitars, Big Suspicions.” She has performed with John Mellencamp, The Indigo Girls, Carlos Santana, B.B. King, Jonny Lang, Willie Nelson, Neil Young, Stevie Wonder, George Thorogood, Billy Preston, Stone Temple Pilots, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Butch Walker, Jeff Healey, John Lee Hooker, Terri Clark, Jo Dee Messina, Kansas, David Crosby, Jackson Browne, and others.
