This occasional online series aims to showcase area talent by inviting them to perform live in the newsroom. We cleared some stage space near the window overlooking Second Street and asked a pair of Bethany Lutheran College communications majors to film the performance.

For the first edition, we're happy to present The Frye.

Comprised of former Free Press writer Joe Tougas and Ann Rosenquist Fee, The Frye have become south-central Minnesota favorites with their acoustic rock style and crowd-pleasing presentation. In addition to its usual lineup of gigs — including a Valentine's Day show on Friday at the Wine Cafe — Tougas recently received a Prairie Lakes Regional Arts Council grant to write and record new material.

We hope you enjoy the mini concert and check The Free Press homepage soon for the next edition.
