Award-winning designer lecturing at MSU auditorium

MANKATO — If Minneapolis artist Phil Jones speaks the same way he creates art, be prepared to laugh during his public lecture at 7 p.m. on Monday in Minnesota State University’s Ostrander Auditorium.

The graphics designer and illustrator is next in MSU’s lineup of artist residencies and lectures provided by the Nadine B. Andreas Endowment for Arts and Scholars. Jones’ lecture is free and open the public.

In addition to working with a long lineup of high-profile clients, the award-winning designer has displayed a winning sense of humor in everything from a series ironic lost and found-style posters to The Censorship Towel to Oreo sunglasses.
