Winter Solstice celebration at Good Counsel

MANKATO -- The Center for Earth Spirituality and Rural Ministry will be hosting its annual Winter Solstice Community Celebration starting at 4:30 p.m. today at its location, 170 Good Counsel Drive, Mankato.

The event will feature a sunset snowshoe hike, supper and seasonal reflection and a traditional winter bonfire. The Nokturnal Fire Troupe will be performing during the bonfire. Suggested donation is $10. All are welcome.

Christmas Carol discussion

MANKATO -- The Adult Forum team will host a discussion and sing-a-long of historical and contemporary Christmas Carols at 10:45 a.m. Sunday at Grace Lutheran Church, located on the corner of 4th and Main.

Adult Choir performs during services

MANKATO -- The Bethlehem Lutheran Church Adult Choir will be performing during the 8:15 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. worship services Sunday at the church, 720 S. Second St.

The choir will present a trilogy of selections from Handel's Messiah. All are welcome.

Christmas Eve candlelight service in Amboy

AMBOY -- There will be a speical Christmas Eve candlelight family worship service at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Jackson Lake Lutheran Church, 131 S. Fourth Ave., Amboy.

Each person will receive a candle to be lit during the service.
