Drynock-Proehl said Barley's Angels will have a booth at the expo and she's excited to rub elbows with other connoisseurs.
"I am fairly new to this and I can't get enough," she said. "I'm excited to talk beer with people and learn more.
As of mid-week, only a few hundred tickets out of 2,000 remained for the second iteration of the beer expo organized by Chop Liver Craft Beer Festivals.
In addition to more than 45 breweries — including newcomers Indeed Brewing Company, Bad Weather Brewing, Green Flash Brewing Company and Ballast Point Brewing — the event also includes a brewers panel and a seminar of beer and social media. Members of the brewers panel include Jace Marti (August Schells Brewing Company), Bobby Blasey (Mankato Brewery), Bob McKenzie (Third Street Brewhouse), and Mike Lundell (Summit Brewing Company).
Musical entertainment will be provided by Big Wu band members Terry VanDeWalker and Mark Joseph while food vendors include Natedogs, Pagliai's Pizza and Pub 500.
"Craft beer is growing every day," said Mark Opdahl, who operates Chop Liver with his business partner Juno Choi. "And for the most part, I think it's here to stay."
