Arts Center of St. Peter — “Visual Sonnets,” paintings by Patti Ruskey through May 4 at 315 S. Minnesota Ave., St. Peter. Hours: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 1-5 p.m. Saturday.

Blue Earth County Historical Society’s Heritage Center — Nature photographs by Sandy Howe this month at 415 Cherry St., Mankato. Reception 5-7 p.m. today. Hours: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

Blue Earth County Library, Mankato — Project Gem, a collection of high school art projects this month at 100 E. Main St. Exhibit may be viewed during library hours: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

Carnegie Art Center — Juried exhibition today through May 24 at 120 S. Broad St. Reception 7-9 p.m. Saturday with Award of Excellence presentation 8:30 p.m. Hours: 1-7 p.m. Thursday, 1-4 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.

Centennial Student Union Gallery — Undergraduate Research Symposium exhibit through April 23 in the lower level of Centennial Student Union at Minnesota State University. Reception 7 p.m. Monday. Hours: Open during student union hours.

Conkling Gallery — Senior Show 2 through Wednesday at 139 Nelson Hall, MSU. Hours: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Emy Frentz Gallery — College Costume Show today through May 14 at 523 S. Second St. Reception 5-8 p.m. Wednesday (rescheduled date). Hours: Noon to 4 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday and 4-8 p.m. Thursday.

Hillstrom Museum of Art — Concurrent exhibits of works by Minna Citron (1896-1991) and Peggy Bacon (1895-1987) concludes today at Gustavus Adolphus, St. Peter. Hours: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

North Mankato Taylor Library — Lifeworks exhibit, “Creative Genius: Storytellers” this month at 1001 Belgrade Ave. Exhibit may be viewed during library hours: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

The 410 Project — Rural America Contemporary Art's "Remembering With Dignity: Human Rights Art Exhibit" Friday through May 4 at 523 S. Front St. Opening reception 3-5 p.m. Saturday. Hours 2-6 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday and 1-4 p.m. Sunday.

Waseca Arts Center — 27th annual High School Exhibition featuring art from nine area schools through April 25 at 200 N. State St., Waseca. Gallery hours: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
