Twin Valley Council units chartered by the Church of Latter Day Saints, along with 400,000 other Latter Day Saints Scouts and leaders, celebrated 100 years of being a Chartered Organization with the Boy Scouts of America.

A Nationwide celebration was held Oct. 29 in Salt Lake City, Utah, and teleconferenced to the Latter Day Saints Church in North Mankato.

VINE's Rake the Town event

On Nov. 9, 700 volunteers throughout Blue Earth and Nicollet counties helped 235 older homeowners with fall yard work.

This year's event was rescheduled from the last weekend in October, when it is normally held, because the trees had not shed their leaves.

Enventis employees presented a check for $5,000 to the Foundation to Feeding our Communities Partners in support of the BackPack Food Program.

Iowa Lakes Community College

The following student has graduated from Iowa Lakes Community College in the summer 2013 ceremony: Elmore -- Jodi Neidecker.

Lambda Chi Alpha and ECHO Food Shelf (pic)

The Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity gathered food donations from the Mankato area on Nov. 2.

The raised 2,223 pounds of food and $944, which was donated to the ECHO food shelf.

Lambda Chi Alpha teamed up with Feeding America.
