BECHS' Ghosts from the Past
MANKATO -- The Blue Earth County Historical Society's annual Ghosts from the Past will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday and from 5-8 p.m. Saturday at First Congregational United Church of Christ, 150 Stadium Court.
Experience six costumed historical interpreters as they take guests through Mankato's slough, located near Rasmussen Woods, for glimpses into1900s Tinckomville, a failed attempt at a West Mankato golf course and to the Vietnam War.
Tickets are $7.50 for adults and $5 for children. Space is limited and only a limited number of tickets will be available at the door.

Upcoming Bella Ruse, MSU ensemble performances
MANKATO -- The Minnesota State University Department of Music's Performance Series will host indie musicians Bella Ruse at 7:30 p.m. today in the Elias J. Halling Recital Hall of the Earley Center for Performing Arts, 320 Maywood Ave.
Bella Ruse performs a mixture of folk and pop. They have opened for Sarah Mclachlan, Heart and Kate Nash.
Admission is $12, or $11 for MSU students.

Also, at 3 p.m. on Sunday, the Symphonic Band and Concert Wind Ensemble will perform a three-movement work fusing three styles of music making and closing with an animated adventure starring superheroes.
