EAGLE LAKE -- There will be a Free for All garage sale from 8-11 a.m. today at the Eagle Lake Church of Christ.

Everything is free, so bring bags for the treasures you will discover.

Recovery and worship group kick off

MANKATO -- The Broken Glass Ministries is a recovery and worship group that provides an alternative to traditional 12-step programs.

The group will be having a kickoff worship conference and concert at 3 p.m. today at the Salvation Army Youth Center, 700 S. Riverfront Drive.

The conference and concert are free and open to the public.

Broken Glass Ministries will hold its meetings at The Salvation Army at 7 p.m. on Wednesdays.

Pancake breakfast at Holy Rosary

NORTH MANKATO -- The Knights of Columbus Council 5551 will be hosting an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast from 8 a.m. to noon on Sunday at Holy Rosary Church, on Sherman and Grant Streets.

In addition to buttermilk and blueberry pancakes there will be scrambled eggs, sausage, fruit and beverage.

The cost a $6 per adult.

Talk about Iraq and the Middle East

MANKATO -- Iraqi-American Sami Rasouli will be speaking about his view on what is happening in Iraq today and his expectations for the future in a trio of church presentations.

Rasouli lived in Minnesota before returning to Iraq after the U.S. invasion and occupation. Rasouli currently works with the Muslim Peacemaker Teams.

He will be speaking at three different churches:

■10:30 a.m. Sunday at Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 937 Charles Ave.

■ 2:30 p.m. Sunday at United Church of Christ, First Congregational Church, 150 Stadium Court.

■ And, 7 p.m. Sunday at First Presbyterian Church, 220 East Hickory St.

The events are free and open to the public. Free-will offerings for Rasouli's ministry will be gratefully accepted.

Financial Peace University classes

MANKATO -- Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University will host classes beginning at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Two Rivers Vineyard Church, 1400 E. Madison Ave. Suite 208.

The class was updated in summer 2012 and is now a nine-week course that helps families gain control of their finances. Lessons are taught by Ramsey on DVD followed by a small-group discussion.

Knights of Columbus fish boil

ST. PETER -- The Knights of Columbus will be hosting their fish boil from 5-7:30 p.m. Friday at the Church of Saint Peter, 1801 W. Broadway.

The event includes boiled Icelandic pollock, carrots, potatoes and onions, and cherry or apple pie.

The cost for the meal is $11 for adults, $5 for youth ages 6-12 and free for preschoolers.
