MANKATO -- The School Sisters of Notre Dame's Center for Earth Spirituality and Rural Ministry will be hosting the annual Earth Conference from 9 4 p.m. today at 170 Good Counsel Drive.

The theme of this year's conference is "Climate Change: Finding Hope for a Healthy Planet."

Baked potato dinner

NORTH MANKATO -- The Knight's of Columbus will be hosting a baked potato dinner from 11 a.m. to noon Sunday at the Holy Rosary Church Fellowship Hall.

The menu will include baked potato with many toppings, side dishes, beverage and dessert.

The cost is $7.50 per person and $5 for seniors. There is also a rate of $12 for a couple.

All are welcome and take outs are available.

Gentle Shepherd's annual banquet

NORTH MANKATO -- Gentle Shepherd Ministries will be holding its annual banquet from 6:30-8 p.m. Tuesday at Crossview Covenant Chruch, 2000 Howard Drive.

The event will feature dinner, a mini-concert and dynamic testimonies.

KJLY Christian Radio Share-a-thon

KJLY Christian Radio will be broadcasting its annual Share-a-thon fundraiser from Tuesday through Thursday.

The Share-a-thon will feature interviews with local listeners, special guests and music.

KJLY can be heard on the primary frequency of 104.5 FM.

In addition to the broadcast, the three days will feature special activities and family events at the KJLY Studios in Blue Earth.

Dinner for ECHO Food Shelf

MANKATO -- There will be a dinner to benefit ECHO Food Shelf from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Mankato, 937 Charles Ave.

The dinner will include soup and bread as well as beverages. All donations will go to ECHO Food Shelf.

The event is being hosted by the UUFM Social Action Committee.

SMRC's True Freedom Retreat

The Southern Minnesota Recovery Connection presents the True Freedom Retreat from Friday through Nov. 17 at the Holy Spirit Retreat Center on Lake Elysian.

The retreat features author Bill Alexander author of "Ordinary Recovery" and several other books looking at addiction recovery from a spiritual point of view.

The cost of the retreat is $180 and includes meals and boarding at the Holy Spirit Retreat Center.
