Art Exhibits Sept. 12-18

Arts Center of St. Peter — Prairie Lakes Regional Arts Council annual juried show Saturday through Oct. 20 at 315 S. Minnesota Ave., St. Peter. Reception 1-3 p.m. Saturday. Hours: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 1-5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Blue Earth County Library, Mankato — Boy of Scouts of America and the U.S. Constitution are featured this month at 100 E. Main St. Exhibit may be viewed during library hours: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

Blue Earth County Historical Society’s Heritage Center — Paintings by Craig Groe this month at 415 Cherry St., Mankato. Hours: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.

Brown County Historical Society Museum — Wanda Gag 120th Birthday Exhibit through November at 2 N. Broadway, New Ulm. Hours: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.

Carnegie Art Center — Works by Hope Their in the Rotunda Gallery and “Tim James’ “pulp fusion” painting and sculpture exhibit through Sept. 21 at 120 S. Broad St. Hours: 1-7 p.m. Thursday, 1-4 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.

Centennial Student Union Gallery — Works by advanced painting students Monday through Oct. 2 in lower level of MSU Centennial Student Union. Reception 6 p.m. Monday.

Emy Frentz Gallery — Leigh Johnson’s “Patterns and Rhythms in Nature” through Sept. 18 at 523 S. Second St. Hours: Noon to 4 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday and 4-8 p.m. Thursday.

Hillstrom Museum — Three exhibits showing concurrently through Nov. 10 in the art gallery on the lower level of the C. Charles Jackson campus center at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter. An Oct. 1 reception is planned for the exhibits, “Associated American Artists: Art by Subscription,” “Recent Acquisitions and Debuts of the Hillstrom Museum of Art” and “String Theory and the Superconducting Uper Collider Series: Paintings by Lucinda Mason.” Hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
