---- — ST. PETER — The Arts Center of St. Peter’s 14th annual membership show is on display this month.
Visitors may view a range of artistic media on display in the center’s exhibit spaces — the Moline Gallery upstairs and a second gallery on the lower level.
Much of the art in the show is available for purchase. Artists and the center share in sale profits. Guests interested in buying works should ask for assistance from the docent on-duty at the art center's desk.Docents are on hand to answer questions about exhibits and to help arrange impromptu tours of the center's Clay Center, which is next door to the Moline Gallery.
After viewing the members show, visitors should check out the new "art alley" between the center and St. Peter Herald, which includes tiles created by area artists, landscaping and sculpture.
The membership show remains on exhibit through July 28 at the center, 315 S. Minnesota Ave. No admission fee but donations are appreciated. Gallery hours for the exhibit are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, and 1-5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
After David Goldstein resigned in April for a position at the Walker Art Center, the Arts Center of St. Peter is continuing its search for an executive director.
Board members interviewed three candidates earlier this summer but chose to continue the search. Meanwhile, all scheduled events and programming are slated to continue as planned.
