---- — Holiday Bazaar and Brunch

NORTH MANKATO -- There will be a Holiday Bazaar and Brunch from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. today at the Belgrade Avenue United Methodist Church.

The event will feature a bakery, cookie corner, deli corner and white elephant.

Brunch menu includes egg strata, assorted muffins, hot fruit compote and beverage.

Tickets are $6 or $3 for children 10 and under.

Spaghetti supper for Kids against Hunger

MADISON LAKE -- There will be a spaghetti supper to benefit Kids Against Hunger from 5-7:30 p.m. today at Immaculate Conception Church, in Marysburg.

The cost is $5 for adults and $3 for children in kindergarten through sixth grade. There is also a family maximum of $20.

All the money collected will go to Kids Against Hunger.

12-step recovery service

ST. PETER -- The next 12 step recovery service at Church of the Holy Communion will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the church, 118 N. Minnesota Ave., St. Peter.

The Church holds these services on the third Sunday of each month. The service combines the 12 steps with a communion service were non-alcoholic wine is used.

The service is open to people of any denomination or no denomination. The church is an Episcopal Church and invites all baptized people to receive Communion.

Chili feed benefit for UCC pastor

MANKATO -- There will be a chili feed benefit for Pastor Deb Celley and her family from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday at the First Congregational UCC Church, at the intersection of Stadium and Stoltzman Road.

Pastor Deb Celley is fighting a battle against lymphoma. The event includes a silent auction and free will donations at the door. Modern Woodmen is helping match funds up to $2,500.

St. James Christian Women luncheon

ST. JAMES -- The St. James Area Christian Women will be hosting their "Eat Well" luncheon at noon Thursday in the St. James Legion Club Room.

The event will feature music by Sue Renz and speaker Colleen Keen. They will also be holding their annual bake sale at 11:30 a.m.

Reservations are needed by Tuesday and can be made by calling Kathy at 375-5046.
