Learn about snow at Nature's Nook

MANKATO -- The Nature's Nook program The Science of Snow will be held 9-11 a.m. Friday and Saturday at Elk's Nature Center in Rasmussen Woods, 555 Stoltzman Raod.

Friday's program is designed for pre-school children and Saturday's for students through sixth grade. Come dressed for the weather and be ready to explore the winter beauty of Rasmussen Woods.

The program is free and open to the public.

Rock for Tots fundraiser

ST. PETER -- The Epislon Pi Alpha Fraternity out of Gustavus Adolphus College is sponsoring a Toys for Tots fundraiser starting at 5 p.m. Saturday at Patrick's On Third.

The event will start with a pulled pork sandwich dinner at 5 p.m. with music to follow at 7 p.m. Proceeds will be donated to Toys for Tots. Toys and cash donations will also be accepted.

Children's Chorus Winter Concert

ST. PETER -- The five choirs of the Mankato Children's Chorus present their annual winter concert at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Christ Chapel on the Gustavus Adolphus College campus.

Tickets are available at the door.

Christmas in the Village of Cleveland

CLEVELAND -- There will be Christmas activities starting at 10 a.m. Saturday in the township hall in Cleveland.

The event will feature vendors, horse-drawn carriage rides until 4 p.m., a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus and musical interludes from local groups.
