Munchkin Markets rings up this weekend

MANKATO — One of the state's largest consignment sales returns to Mankato this weekend.

Munchkin Markets is a traveling consignment sale that stops regularly in Mankato. This weekend's event will be held 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday at the Verizon Wireless Center. Admission on Saturday is $1, or free with non-perishable food donation to the ECHO Food Shelf. Admission on Sunday is free, and many of the items are half-price.

All items at the sale are screened for quality from more than 150 vendors, and are arranged like a retail store with items sorted by size and gender. Thousands of items will be available from clothes (sizes preemie-14) to strollers, high chairs, books, DVDs and toys.

Some of the event proceeds also benefit the Mankato Early Childhood and Family Education program.
