— A Mankato man was arrested late Friday for allegedly carrying a gun while intoxicated.
Police were called at 11 p.m. with a report of a disturbance outside Mettler’s bar, where a group of men were arguing with bouncers. Police say Timothy Lee Anderson, 24, at one point pulled up his shirt to display a Colt .45 and made threatening remarks to the bouncers.
Anderson was arrested without incident and is facing charges of terroristic threats, fifth-degree assault, disorderly conduct and carrying a firearm while under the influence.
Anderson had a permit to carry a gun but the law says that a gun can’t be legally carried if the person has a blood-alcohol content of over .04 percent. A test showed Anderson was at .08 percent.
