Betty L. Sandry

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, July 7, 2008, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in North Mankato. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. Monday until time of service, all at the church. Interment will be at Woodland Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers for the alter, memorials are preferred to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church or to MRCI Thrift Store, 111 Sioux Road, Mankato, MN 56001.

Betty was born December 13, 1923, in Bemidji, MN, to William H. and Minnie S. (Keso) Manecke. She graduated from Bemidji High School in 1943. Betty married Donald W. Sandry June 27, 1948, in Bemidji. Her career included over 25 years at Sears. She was a long time member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. She enjoyed refinishing furniture, reading, volunteering at church and various non-profit organizations including the MRCI Thrift Store.

She is survived by son Tim Sandry and wife Ellen Wersan of Bloomington; daughter Clarinda Marcoff and husband Paul of Belgrade, Montana; 4 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; sister Maxine “Mickey” Long of Battle Creek, MI; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 6 sisters.
