Published August 26, 2008 10:58 pm - Oberlin H. Ellingson, age 79 of Mankato, died Monday, August 25, 2008 at Immanuel St. Joseph’s Hospital.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, August 29, 2008 at United Pentecostal Church located at 119 State Street in Mankato with Pastor Jeremy Cox officiating. Burial will be in Swan Lake Cemetery, rural Nicollet. Visitation will be held one hour before the service at the church on Friday. Mankato Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Oberlin was born December 18, 1928, to Ole Theodore and Alma (Lokensgard) Ellingson in rural Nicollet. He was united in marriage to Roselyn Ann Westergaard on August 8, 1952. Oberlin worked in farm machinery sales for many years. In recent years he worked for Paragon Printing in a sales mail route until 2008. Oberlin was a member of United Pentecostal Church of Mankato. He enjoyed flea markets, garage sales, his coffee group, and his family.
He is survived by his wife, Roselyn of Mankato; three children, Danny (Nancy) Ellingson of Waldorf, Joel (Shari) Ellingson of Mankato, Missy Robertson of Mankato; two grandchildren, Jordan and Kayli Ellingson; two sisters, Lorraine Honken and Orpha Hermel both of Nicollet; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Lila Nelson and Elaine Ellingson.
