Your View: Cornish needs to stop worrying about his agenda

First I read that Rep. Tony Cornish wants to allow 21-year-old college students to carry weapons to help keep younger students safer and I thought this man isn’t playing with a full deck. Then the next day, I read how he’s concerned for officers who are spit on while doing their job and I knew I must respond.
Cornish is so out of touch as to what concerns the American public. Most of us are having a hard time making ends meet, let alone sending our children to college someday.
The last thing I want to do is put my 18-year-old daughter’s life into the hands of a 21-year-old with a gun.
What about focusing on the meth problem in this area? What about drunk drivers? Isn’t that what led up to the spitting issue in the first place?
What about our elderly? There’s such a shortage of workers in nursing homes in this area, they turn residents away.
Cornish needs to do his job of listening to others instead of worrying about his own agenda.
