Your View: Volunteers, contributions vital to VINE

I want to express my support of VINE and my concern for the loss of funding for the valuable programs it offers in our community.

I have received volunteer/peer counseling training offered at VINE. Through this program and also by facilitating the Summit Senior Support/Discussion Group, I have met wonderful people I wouldn’t have met otherwise.

As a spiritual director/companion, I see there the many needs of seniors who are cared for by VINE staff and volunteers, services that are vital for the quality of life — mind, body and spirit.

My friend received equipment from VINE to aid her in taking care of her ailing husband and keeping him at home during his prolonged illness.

Please consider volunteering and making contributions to VINE to help VINE continue these crucial and helpful services in our community.
