Published July 24, 2008 09:05 pm - Rita Hiniker Mankato Your View: Vikings traffic a pain for neighborhood Well, here we are with another year of the Vikings training camp. Yet another year of hell for the residents who live behind the stadium. Close off the road and make everyone drive though the parking lot where the fans have to pay to see the team they support. Drive though and at times slam on the brakes because a small child is running around and not watching where they are going. Waiting in line while MSU security gets money from the people to park, while all you want to do is go home or get to work. In return you are supposed to get only two free tickets to see them play in the stadium, which none of us got this year.
Is MSU scalping tickets? What happens to the money for the fans to park and who and where does it go? Does it go to the Vikings, the owner, Alltel, MSU, who?
