Your View: LEGO teams showed there's hope

Although the United States is considered to be a world power, it is also known as one of the world’s largest polluters.

Americans enjoy living their lives free of restrictions. This elucidates why the federal government continuously tunes out the international community’s objections and persists to act in its self-serving manner. Mankato’s LEGO teams prove that there is hope for the future. If progress cannot be made at the national level, it must be mobilized through the grassroots. These 9- to 12-year-olds are learning what it takes to be green. Through their knowledge, we can aspire that they will teach the rest of us how to conserve instead of consume.
