Our health care is in a transition stage with provisions of the health care act starting to kick in. Given the complexity of the legislation and the money that is involved, it is not surprising that there is a lot of controversy and anxiety associated with the changes.
I was hoping that our legislators would be fine-tuning and improving the new provisions to make them work as efficiently as possible. Instead, the U.S. House has attempted for the 40th time to repeal the entire legislation. The Senate will shoot down the attempt and we will be back to square one.
All the people who are in control of health care reform have the finest health insurance that money can buy and it costs them nothing. I wonder why they would want anything to change. I would love to see all the senators and representatives lose the benefit of free health coverage for one year. I believe the experience they would gain from attempting to buy their own health plan would give them insight into some possible improvements to the system.
