Jack Considine has announced his candidacy for state representative for District 19B, the seat that will be vacant upon Kathy Brynaert’s retirement. I think Jack’s long service on the Mankato City Council, his dedication to diversity, and his experience in the political arena qualify him for this position. I look forward to voting for him.
Considine has represented my neighborhood on the City Council for the past 16 years. I have appreciated his attention to constituents and admired his broad vision for the Mankato community and region. Jack’s dedicated service has contributed to Mankato being recognized as one of the best places to live in the nation.
He is a consistent supporter of inclusiveness and diversity.
He knows the importance of understanding history and embracing the future. On Jack’s motion, Mankato was the first city in Minnesota to name a street for Martin Luther King Jr. He also worked to see that Amos Owen, the Dakota leader who worked for reconciliation, was similarly recognized.
Our region will be fortunate to have Jack Considine represent our interests in the Minnesota Legislature.
