League educates, informs voters

The Free Press editorial April 3 (”Voting Still Trumps Money”) addresses the disheartened reaction of many of us to the recent Supreme Court ruling that opens the floodgates still further to unlimited campaign contributions by corporate interests.

The editorial rightly emphasizes the critical need for non-voters to get involved, and all voters to vote informed, and adds “It’s important to find a credible source of information...”

For nearly 100 years, the League of Women Voters has been working to educate and inform voters in a strictly non-partisan manner. Every fall state and national LWV websites make available candidate statements, and we help sponsor candidate forums for local and sometimes statewide elections.

After candidate slates are in place next fall, check VOTE411.org for election information you can trust.
