Your View: Life devalued in many ways leads to violence

The recent tragedy in Newtown, Conn., where 26 school children and adults were killed, makes us think what’s going on? Why? Are these causes for this.?

One of the probable causes is the sanctity and value of life has deteriorated. Possible reasons for this deterioration may be the loss of life in Iraq and Afghanistan, where not only military personnel but also civilians including women and children are killed.

Then there are these massive killings in Syria and last, but not least are the thousands of killings due to abortions. Add these up and it points to the deterioration of the sanctity and value of life.

Can something be done about this? Think about it.
