Considine committed to family

My uncle Jack Considine, a 16-year veteran of the Mankato City Council, is the right pick for the state representative seat of Mankato and Eagle Lake.

His experience as a member of the community and as a member of the City Council has given him the experience necessary to be our state representative.

I have lived in Mankato for three years now. The first few months I lived with Jack and his wife Kris.

I had nowhere to stay and they took me in without a second thought. I will always remember their willingness to help me when I didn’t have many options.

Jack exemplifies a family man. He is caring, honest, and intelligent.

He has an innate ability to stay cool and help arguing parties reach agreement. I could go on for pages about how he was there for me. But just a few examples are he was my sponsor for the confirmation sacrament process and took me to volunteer with VINE during the process. He has given me life advice on many occasions.

He took me deer hunting when I was young and no one else would.

Jack’s commitment to his family and community make him the right person to represent Mankato and Eagle Lake.

Considine carrieson his family’s values

Before I met Jack Considine over 35 years ago, I knew his parents, John and Mickey Considine.

John, a retired Air Force major, was running for the U.S. House of Representatives in the 1st District. He went on to be instrumental in the founding of the Welcome Inn and ECHO Food Shelf in Mankato.

Mickey has been involved in many charitable activities. She helped persons in need of food, clothing and housing by taking them into her home until they got back on their feet.
