— Justice Barry Anderson has served Minnesota well over the past 14 years as an appellate judge.
From my perspective as a practicing lawyer, I recommend that you return him to the Minnesota Supreme Court for another six-year term. We are in the midst of an era of contentious politics and spirited debate among partisans over issues of principle important to us all. Maintaining our judiciary as a fair and impartial arbiter of disputes is central to the maintenance of a civil society as we wrestle with our future.
No matter what your politics, checking the box for Anderson when you get to the judicial candidates on your ballot is an opportunity to vote for an experienced judge who I believe works hard to follow the law and his conscience with the best interest of Minnesota in mind.
I cannot say that I always agree with Anderson, but he has earned my respect and my vote.
A vote for Anderson is a vote for a fair and impartial judiciary.
Some of my friends from other parts of Minnesota keep trying to convince me that growing up around the bend of the Minnesota River is not the only path to good judgment. The jury is still out on that. Nevertheless, I trust that Anderson’s years growing up in Mankato and attending Gustavus provided him with a solid foundation for public service.
Keep him working for us.
