Your View: Voters were fearful of Romney presidency

Mike Kolek, St. Peter

— A recent letter writer stated that Mitt Romney lost the election because not enough married, male homeowners voted for him. I disagree.

Romney lost because President Obama was the better candidate. Obama offered real solutions to our problems, not just some pie-in-the-sky rhetoric.

Women, minorities and others not “married-male-homeowner” were rightly fearful of a Romney administration. Romney’s faults were well laid out by his fellow GOP primary opponents.

This married, male, homeowner is proud to say he voted for Obama. And in the tone of the previous letter, would add white and Christian.
