Gwen Henricksen of North Mankato adopted Gidget as a puppy. She was sure the pooch was part dachshund until her legs became “long and gangly.” After she had Gidget’s DNA tested, Henricksen learned the dog has no dachshund in her ancestry but does have a significant amount of beagle and trace amounts of Boston terrier and miniature schnauzer.
