South-central Minnesota is projected to have more foreclosures this year than in 2007, but the rate of increase appears to be slackening off.
That’s based on a projection from HousingLink, a Minneapolis nonprofit that released a foreclosure report with 2007 data and a look at what this year might hold.
There were 147 foreclosures last year in Blue Earth County. And based on the pace of foreclosures so far, HousingLink estimated that there will be 125 foreclosures in 2008, a 13 percent decline.
