NEW: Beer showers officer from hotel room

A pair of arrests and a handful of underage consumption violations were the result of a police call Saturday that began with a packet of salad dressing hurled at a squad car.
Actually, the salad dressing — and at least one more dangerous item — was dropped on the officer’s car from nine floors above at the downtown Hilton Garden Inn.
After the salad dressing landed, the officer turned around and drove back down Riverfront Drive to inspect the area where his car got hit.
While outside his car, a beer bottle came down from the same area and smashed a few feet away from him.
The officer alerted hotel staff and, accompanied by a hotel manager, visited the gathering in the top-floor room that has outdoor patio access on the building’s southwest corner.
