The trial of an unlicensed Henderson day-care provider charged with severely injuring an infant last year has been postponed until Aug. 11.
The trial of Jennifer Schmitt, 35, was to have started Monday.
She faces felony assault, neglect and child-endangerment charges in connection with an April 2007 incident in which an 8-month-old boy received massive head injuries in her home.
Schmitt waived her right to a jury trial and will be tried before a judge in Sibley County District Court.
Injuries to Luke Henze of Le Sueur included skull fractures, severe hemorrhages and brain damage, and a broken right arm.
