Drinking passenger made easy bust

— Some times, they make it too easy.
When Blue Earth County Deputy Tom Coulter stopped his squad car at a red light on Warren and Second streets late Saturday night, he looked to the car to his left.
“My attention was drawn to the front seat passenger who was drinking a bottle of Michelob Golden Draft light beer,” Coulter put in his report.
The driver, a 21-year-old woman from Mankato and her passenger, a 21-year-old woman from Duluth, were given citations for open bottle.
