One killed in crash on Highway 14

The Free Press

NICOLLET — One person died and seven others were injured in a head-on crash Saturday evening on Highway 14 near Nicollet.

The State Patrol described the accident:

A large, white, four-door vehicle was driving south on 510th Street and turned right onto the westbound lane of Highway 14.

A 2003 Chrysler Town and Country minivan was also traveling westbound and swerved into the eastbound lane to avoid hitting the first vehicle. At that point, it collided head-on with a 1998 Buick LeSabre sedan traveling eastbound.

The State Patrol said they’ll release detailed information about the victims today.
