---- — GREEN ISLE — No one was injured when a train and car collided Wednesday morning in Green Isle.

Sibley County deputies said Christopher Fahey, 33, of Belle Plaine was driving a 2003 Impala west on Parnell Street at 7:57 a.m. and was near the intersection with Railroad Street. Road conditions were icy when the car, which Fahey was unable to stop at the train tracks, went into pile of snow before it collided with a Twin Cities & Western Railroad train.

Engineer Nathan Carroll, 29, of Hutchinson was manning the train.

The train car had minor damage. The front end of the Impala was moderately damaged.
