Kids off of school dotted every sledding hill in the area this week, taking advantage of the winter break and some unusually warm weather. Children and adults alike labored to carry their tubes and sleds up to the top of the Sibley Park sledding hill only to come back down in a matter of seconds and start the process over again.
Some took advantage of Mount Kato’s new conveyor belt next to its tubing hill. All a rider had to do was stand there with his or her tube and a conveyor belt took them to the top of the hill, much easier than the notorious steps of the Sibley Hill.
Of course, the longer climb at Sibley Park can pay off with high speeds as a rider reaches the bottom of one of the tallest sledding hills around.
