Landmark Center businesses burglarized

MANKATO — Police have no suspects in several burglaries at the Landmark Center in downtown Mankato that were reported this week.

The Mankato Department of Public Safety received six reports of burglaries at businesses in the building at 121 E. Main St. Wednesday morning. The burglaries could have taken place anytime between 9 p.m. Tuesday and 7 a.m. Wednesday, a Mankato Department of Public Safety report said.

The only thing reported stolen was petty cash, but hundreds of dollars in damage was done to the doors of business suites on the first and third floors of the building. Investigators do not know if the burglar or burglars got in through an open door, live in one of the building's apartments or, if the outside doors were locked in the building when the last business employee left.
