---- — LAKE CRYSTAL — Six Mankato-area teenagers were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries early Saturday after the vehicle they were riding in rolled on Highway 60 near Lake Crystal, the Minnesota State Patrol reported.
The single-vehicle crash occurred just after 12:30 a.m. when a westbound 1998 Jeep SUV driven by Jordan M. Weis, 15, of Mankato rolled after Weis lost control, according to the Patrol. The road condition was listed as icy, but an investigation is on-going.
The Jeep's passengers, all of whom were taken to the Mankato hospital with injuries categorized as non-life-threatening, were: Ruot D. Gong, 15, of Mankato; Nyabath D. Gong, 18, of Mankato; Mary C. Gach, 17, of Mankato; Jaren L. Allen, 18, of Mankato; and Kueth P. Ruae, 16, of North Mankato.
Alcohol was detected on two of the passengers, but the Patrol report currently states that it is unknown if there was alcohol in the system of the driver or other passengers. All six were wearing seatbelts.
