MANKATO — Buddy Guy fans should hold on to their ticket stubs for Saturday night's canceled concert.
Concert organizers are looking in to the possibility of a rescheduled show as an alternative to ticket refunds. They have not yet found out if the blue legend's tour schedule allows for a return trip to Mankato.
"Hold on to the stubs, at least for a few days, until we figure things out," said Eric Jones, marketing manager for Verizon Wireless Center.
Despite dark clouds that loomed above the outdoor stage, hundreds came to the concert at Riverfront Park, which opened with 14-year-old Quinn Sullivan's music. When rain began to fall, some equipment got a little wet, but Sullivan's band played on until intermission.
Winds then started blowing rain across the Vetter Amphitheater stage. Organizers made the decision to cancel the second half of the concert.
