BLUE EARTH — The city of Blue Earth has received nearly $1 million from the federal government to build road, water and sewer improvements in its North Industrial Park.
The work will prepare sites for businesses to locate.
The $993,050 grant is from the U.S. Economic Development Administration’s Economic Adjustment Assistance Program.
U.S. Sens. Amy Klobuchar and Al Franken and Rep. Tim Walz sent letters to the EDA supporting the project. They praised the grant approval, saying it will help to create jobs and strengthen the economy.
The city will be reimbursed for its costs as it completes the project.
