MANKATO — Highway 14 motorists in North Mankato can drive on three of the highway's four new lanes beginning Tuesday.
Both westbound lanes and the westbound Highway 14 ramp from Lookout Drive will open about 9 a.m. Tuesday. The outside eastbound lane also will be opened.
On Tuesday, the single eastbound lane will be diverted to the Nicollet County Road 41 ramps for several hours to allow crews access the new bridge.
The new interchange with Nicollet County Road 41 is scheduled to open early in October, according to officials at the Minnesota Department of Transportation. The two-year, $16.3 million construction project included two additional miles of four-lane to Nicollet County Road 6, as well as the County Road 41 interchange in North Mankato. The project includes a total of three roundabouts associated with County Road 41.
