MANKATO — Lexi Platz and Chandra Honebrink each recorded seven kills for the Minnesota State volleyball team on Tuesday, but the Mavericks fell 3-0 to top-ranked Concordia-St. Paul in a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference match at Bresnan Arena.
Concordia won 25-15, 25-17, 25-17.
Haley Fogarty had a match-high 12 digs for the Mavericks, and Platz had nine digs.
Ellie Van De Steeg ran the offense, finished with a team-high 28 set assists for.
Concordia (20-1, 12-0 in NSIC) extended its winning streak to 18 games. The Golden Bears were lead by Emily McDonough with 10 kills followed by Kayla Koenecke and Riley Hanson who each had nine kills.
Minnesota State (8-11, 4-8) will attempt to snap a six-game losing streak when it hits the road for a two-game road trip this weekend in North Dakota.
They will play Mary on Friday and Minot State on Saturday.
