MANKATO — A Le Sueur man has been charged with bludgeoning and stabbing a 17-year-old St. Peter boy.
Noel Galvan Jr., 18, faces felony assault charges for the early February incident at Marway Mobile Home Park in St. Peter.
Court documents state the victim told police he was struck repeatedly in the head with a metal baseball bat and stabbed twice in the back with a knife.
The youth was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.
Witnesses said the incident stemmed from an altercation at a party, and at the time identified different people as the attacker. An anonymous tip to police two weeks later identified Galvan as the perpetrator.
Galvan’s court date is pending.
