NORTH MANKATO —
Roberta Moorhouse, marketing instructor, and Juliann Brueske, in online development, said they’re looking forward to a “refreshing new start” this year with a new president. They echoed the statement made by many who have spoken publicly of Parker so far: She’s technology-driven, and she’s great at building partnerships.
Having graduated from Lansing Community College years ago, Parker said she’s looking forward to coming back to that environment. She said the desire to become the next president of SCC became even stronger after she visited with warm and inviting students and faculty during her campus visit.
“I’ll tell you what. During that process, every day that passed, I knew where I wanted to be,” she said.
The college gave Parker SCC gear from the bookstore to get her ready for the new job. She’s ready, she said. She even has her vanity plates all picked out when she moves to Minnesota: GO2SCC.
