— Some kids decided that it was a bit easier to peer down their ice fishing hole rather than use dad’s fish finder Saturday during the St. Peter Fire Department’s youth fishing contest.
The contest, part of St. Peter’s Winterfest celebration that kicked off this weekend, drew nearly 250 kids of all ages. While most didn’t walk off the ice with a fish, they were able to walk off with a door prize, and maybe an interest in spending some time outdoors on a chilly winter’s day.
